Founder of Sinrex, Dr. René Siwe Ngamabou is a remote sensing and climate policy expert with more than 20 years of international experience in forest governance, carbon markets, and National Forest Monitoring Systems. He holds a PhD in Remote Sensing and Landscape Information Systems and has advised governments, multilateral institutions, and donors on REDD+, NDC implementation, MRV design, and results-based climate finance.
He has led and coordinated major climate and forest initiatives across Central and West Africa, Europe, and the United States — including Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of Congo, Gabon, Côte d’Ivoire, Liberia, Guinea, Togo, Benin, Burundi, Senegal, Ghana, Central African Republic, Mozambique, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Finland — working with technical partners and donors such as the GAF, ESA, World Bank, KfW, AFD, GIZ, FAO, USAID, African Development Bank, and the U.S. Forest Service.
