Implemented under the Sustainable Wetlands Adaptation and Mitigation Program (SWAMP), a consortium including CIFOR-ICRAF and U.S. Forest Service International Programs; funded by USAID (CARPE)

• Trained 13 national experts in peatland characterization and carbon stock assessment methodologies
• Facilitated laboratory collaboration for organic matter, bulk density, moisture, and carbon concentration analysis
• Organized a high-level provincial workshop on peatland governance, mining impacts, and climate change
• Strengthened the Peatland Management Unit (UGT) to establish a national peatland monitoring and carbon accounting system
