Forest Landscape Restoration

The Conserving Critical Congo Basin Forests (C3BF) program is a climate and forest conservation initiative designed to address deforestation, forest degradation, and climate vulnerability in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Operating in Tanganyika Province, the program combines ecological restoration, community forestry governance, and sustainable livelihood development to reduce pressure on critical forest ecosystems.

By integrating technical restoration interventions with institutional capacity building and community-based engagement, C3BF supports long-term environmental integrity while strengthening socio-economic resilience in one of the world’s most important tropical forest regions.
